In the Borobhita area under Majiyali Gram Panchayat in the Rajganj block of Jalpaiguri district, the body of a person, identified as Lakizuddin Ahmed, was discovered in a well on Sunday. According to family sources, Lakizuddin had been suffering from a mental illness for an extended period.
After having dinner on Saturday night, he left his residence, and it is believed that he accidentally fell into a well near a tea garden while wandering. The incident was reported to the Rajganj police station in the morning, leading to their prompt response to the scene.
The police recovered the body and arranged for a post-mortem examination, while an investigation into the entire occurrence is ongoing.
